The immigration system of Bir Tawil is now officially open for applications from prospective citizens. Applications are invited from residents of South Sudan, the Hala’ib Triangle and Yemen. Prospective applicants need to provide the following documentation:
- A birth certificate
- A passport sized photograph
- photographic identification (other passport or driving licence)
The fee for citizenship has been temporarily waived for the above category of applicants.
